We are seeking a motivated and creative individual to join our team and assist with the seamless execution of our events while handling transportation logistics.
Role Overview
As a Pop-Up Event Coordinator & Van Driver, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our events. You’ll be responsible for coordinating all aspects of event setup and breakdown, assisting with stock management, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth transportation logistics for each event. You will be the face of the brand on the road, making sure our stock and team arrive safely at each venue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Setup & Breakdown: Assist with setting up and packing down events, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Van Driving & Logistics: Safely drive the company van, transporting stock, equipment, and staff to and from event locations. Ensure all items are securely loaded and unloaded.
- Stock Management: Organize, hang, and replenish stock on the sales floor, ensuring displays are visually appealing and well-stocked.
- Customer Service: Operate the till to process sales transactions, answer customer queries, and deliver a positive shopping experience.
- Creative Input: Contribute fresh, creative ideas to the setup and overall event experience.
- Social Media Contribution: Assist in creating engaging content for social media related to events and the thrift experience.
- Stock Preparation: When events are quieter, assist with preparing stock for upcoming events and our online store.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations during events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Passion for vintage and sustainable clothing.
- Full, clean UK driving license and over 25 years old (due to insurance requirements).
- Ability to safely drive a large van and manage transport logistics.
- Experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential.
- Creativity and a proactive attitude, with the ability to think on your feet.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative.
- Flexibility to travel and stay overnight for events across the UK.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Additional Information:
- Flexible Hours: Working hours may fluctuate on a weekly basis, and some weekend work will be required.
- Travel: Regular travel and overnight stays will be necessary as our events take place nationwide.
- Variety: When events are quieter, you will help with other aspects of the business, such as stock preparation and online store operations.
